Solid jacket, looks sleek, fits well. Too early to tell if it’s durable, but it feels well made.
Minus one star for: the stitching on the inside of the sleeves is a little irritating against bare skin.

Winter Necessity
I'm a 6-foot male who weighs 200 lbs, and I recently purchased a large.
I like the feel across the chest, but I would definitely prefer more of a fitted feel along the hem. I also like the thumb loops as an addition, but I don't really think they're necessary for the jacket. The material of the jacket makes it lightweight and still doesn't cause me to overheat while running.
As for performance, the jacket keeps me warm up front while running and does a decent job at keeping me dry while snowing or a light mist is in the air. Now, I haven't gotten around to trying it while it's raining, but not really certain it would be my go to for a rain run. I've run with this on when the temperatures have fallen below freezing and only had a thin long sleeve on underneath.
Overall, it's a great buy and my personal preference would be that it's just a little more fitted.

Warm enough for Wisconsin winters
Warm enough for Wisconsin winters. Nice wind protection. Practical stylish and functional. Wish it had a hood for added warmth.

Perfect Outerlayer
I’ve had Brooks’ vests and notched running long sleeves, so I figured I should commit to a full running jacket. Honestly, this jacket has everything I need and more. Surprisingly warm without being overbearing. Only thing that could make it better is the watch notch similar to what they have on the thermals.

Shield Hybrid Jacker 3.0 gives great protection from the weather
Great for the outer layer (I use up to four layers) when running in the 20's cold and/or rain.

Absolutely love this for cold weather runs, comfortable down to mid-high 20's F with a hat.
It does run a bit larger in sizing - I got the XL, which is perfect for me, because I layer and am a "larger" XL. So, I was torn on sizing, as some other reviewers said it runs small and some of the Brooks online sizing guides suggested I would fare better in an XXL. But XL was perfect, plenty of stretch and fits well (just snug enough so you barely notice you're wearing an insulated jacket) in chest and lower torso. If you are a "smaller (i.e., almost L)" XL, and you like your jackets more snug, you might consider the L instead.
Also, the nature and placement of the insulated and non insulated panels make it perfect for layering.

Perfect jacket for cold morning runs
The design of this jacket is perfect for cold morning runs. I have worn it in 25 degree mornings, and it was the perfect weight for warmth and comfort. Plus, later in the run, it never felt too warm. The Shield Hybrid Jacket 3.0 delivers the right balance.
My only issue/concern is the zipper. It does not seem to be high-quality, sticking at the bottom. I don't have a lot of confidence that zipper will withstand the test of time. Improve the zipper and my review goes to 5.

Great for Midwest Winter runs
Very warm jacket that isn't bulky. The recommended size for me was a Medium, but I ended up returning for a Small as the sleeves were a little long. I got the blue jacket - I really like the look, but one thing to note is that you do sweat through it and that is visible. The black coat probably wouldn't show as much.
