Hi Kathy. Though our Addiction Walker shoe offers a friction coefficient (enough for wet pavement), they are not up to the specifications required for work shoes that may into contact with wet or oily floors. They are not OSHA-certified.

I need extra room for my Ankle-Foot-Orthosis. Is the tongue sewn in with elastic?

Hi Maureen, thanks for reaching out. The Addiction Walker V-Strap 2 does not have an attached or gusseted tongue.

Is slip resistant written anywhere on the shoe?

Hi Debbie! "Slip Resistant" is marked on the bottom of the Addiction Walker V-Strap 2. The outsole is certified (SATRA TM144:2011) for slip resistance. Please note this slip resistance certification is not OSHA-certified.

I need more of a heel? 2 inches preferred

Hi Patricia! The Addiction Walker V-Strap 2 is one of several models that features our highest heel stack for a support shoe at 29mm. It also has our highest midsole drop at 12mm.

I have bunions I usually get a wide d in regular mesh shoe since these are not mesh and won’t stretch or give my bunions room how much wider is th extra wide I bought other tennis shoes in extra wide ?and the whole shoe is too big

Hi Kathy! We do not currently provide specific measurements for our widths because there are many factors that can impact these measurements, such as the shape of the shoe or fabric materials in the upper. Some shoes are designed to have a more snug fit, while others are designed to be more spacious. With that being said, a women's extra wide (2E) in the Addiction Walker V-Strap 2 will have a wider footbed as well as more material than a wide (D). An in-person fitting is the best way to make sure you get the fit and feel that works for you, especially when switching between models and/or sizes. We definitely recommend avoiding washing machines and (especially) dryers, but yes! You can hand wash your shoes. We'll provide some tips here as well as a link to an article that goes in greater depth. 1. Brush the bottom of your shoes to remove as much mud and dirt as possible. 2. Remove the shoelaces. 3. Gently use a damp cloth or brush to clean the uppers. 4. Rinse with warm water. 5. Remove the insoles and clean and dry them separately. 6. Stuff your shoes with newspaper. Are the shoes bulky and heavy, if so do you have a shoe that's similar?

I have an AFO will these work?

Hi Pam! The AFO brace may work well with the Addiction Walker V-Strap 2. We recommend visiting your local shop to test out this combination. If you are not able to visit a store, not a problem, we have our Run Happy Promise. Is the material water resistant? I want to know if they will keep fluids out and can be wiped off.

Hi Stephani! The Addiction Walker V-Strap 2 has a leather upper that is not certified waterproof or water resistant. The leather will make it easy to wipe them off, if needed.

Can you replace the insoles with custom made orthotics? Also, if I regularly wear a size 9, would I need a 9 '1/2' to wear with the custom made orthotics?

Hi Georgette! The sockliner in the Addiction Walker V-Strap 2 is removable to insert your own orthotic. If the orthotic is made to fit a size 9 shoe, we recommend ordering a size 9 in the Addiction Walker V-Strap 2.

I wear specialized custome-made insoles. My R foot has a slight arch & the insoles help my R hip. My L foot is completely flat & the insoles help my L knee. Can I insert these custome-made insoles in the Walker V-strap shoes?

I wear a 11 narrow. Is this a good fit or do they run small?
