What is the difference between launch 8 and launch 8 gts in the arch area? I recently ordered the launch 8 gts and am finding they are bothering the bottom of my arches. Everything else about the shoe is comfortable and I’m wondering if the regular launch would be better for me. I think I have a fairly natural stride so probably don’t need a support shoe? I did used to have a pair of ravennas I liked

Hi Lauren! Our shoe styles in our inventory are split into 2 sections, Neutral like the Launch 8 and Support like the Launch GTS 8. They both have the same arch height within the shoe. The support in running shoes is different than the support of insoles or orthotics. Our Support styles include our GuideRails technology, which supports your whole body in its natural stride while keeping excess movement in check. Insoles or orthotics give you support directly under the arch. Our sock-liners are removable so that you can input your own insole or orthotic to achieve personalized arch support. If you enjoyed the Ravenna style, we recommend the Launch GTS 8 as we changed the name from Ravenna to Launch GTS.

I wear a size 6 in all of my shoes. I have a pair of Brooks Pure Flow that are a 7.5, what size should I get in the Launch 8?

Do they have studs that can attach to them?

How are the launch 8 for support?

Hi Larinda! The Launch 8 is a Neutral style that aligns best if your foot tends to hit the ground evenly or towards the outside of the shoe. If your foot tends to crash in or have some calcaneal deviation, we recommend a Support style like the Launch GTS 8.

Looking for something whith serious cushion. Is this the shoe for me?

Hi Melanie! The Launch 8 is a neutral shoe in our speed category and is designed to feel fast and lightweight without sacrificing comfort. While the Launch 8 does have lightweight cushion, if you are looking for our most cushioned shoe we recommend trying the Ghost 14 or the Glycerin 19!

Are these shoes machine washable and can they be dried in the dryer?

Hi Nancy! Our styles are not machine washable and should not be dried in a dryer. We recommend removing the internal liner and hand wash the shoes in warm water with mild soap. Make sure not to submerge or soak the shoes in water. To dry the shoes, stuff your shoes with newsprint (plain if you have it) and allow them to air dry.

I have not been able to find the drop on these shoes. I'm trying to find a brooks that is comparable to the PureFlow since they aren't made anymore?

What changes were made from the 7 to the 8? I've worn Launches since the very beginning and love them, but the 7s absolutely tore up the skin on my achilles even after months of wear. I'd like to know what changes were made to the model so that I can decide if the 8s will be appropriate for me.

The Launch 8 features our BioMoGo DNA midsole with more blown rubber in the forefoot creating a faster transition from heel to toe and makes the shoe more durable. The new air mesh upper enhances the fit and ventilation, eliminating the need for the internal bootie.

Hi Teri! The best way to clean the Launch 8 is to remove the internal liner and hand wash the shoes in warm water with mild soap. Make sure not to submerge or soak the shoes in water. We do not recommend using a washer or dryer machine for cleaning our shoes, as they can be too aggressive and cause the shoes to stretch or warp compromising the materials and performance of the shoe. Once, you are done cleaning the Launch 8, we recommend stuffing your shoes with newsprint (plain if you have it) and allow them to air dry.

Yes. I wear a seven and purchased a 7. One foot is slightly wider than the on there and I was still comfortable.
