Hi John! The Glycerin 20 and Glycerin GTS 20 are both great options for everyday runs and race day. They are specifically designed to provide premium cushion as opposed to a lightweight, speed shoe. For a speed shoe, we recommend checking out the Hyperion Elite 3, Hyperion Max, Hyperion Tempo, Launch 9, and Launch GTS 9.

What are Washing instructions?

Hi Crystal! We recommend avoiding washing machines and (especially) dryers, but you can hand wash your shoes. Here are some tips as well as a link to an article that goes in greater depth: 1. Brush the bottom of your shoes to remove as much mud and dirt as possible. 2. Remove the shoelaces. 3. Gently use a damp cloth or brush to clean the uppers. 4. Rinse with warm water. 5. Remove the insoles and clean and dry them separately. 6. Stuff your shoes with newspaper. This helps them maintain shape and decreases drying time. Does the glycerin 20 and GTS 20 have arch support?

Hi Donna! The footbed and insoles of all our shoes have the same arch height and arch support. Our shoe styles are split into two sections, Neutral and Support. The support in running shoes is different than the support of insoles or orthotics. Our Support styles include our GuideRails technology, which supports your whole body in its natural stride while keeping excess movement in check. Insoles or orthotics give you support directly under the arch. Our sockliners are removable so that you can input your own insole or orthotic to achieve personalized arch support.

Hi Diane! The midsole of the Glycerin GTS 20 is infused with nitrogen and therefore embedded within the material. This should not cause any difficulties.

Could you please provide the measurements across the widest part of the insole for the regular and wide women’s 9 in centimeters?

Hi Jen! The measurement of the insoles for the medium (B) and wide (D) widths in the women's Glycerin GTS 20 will actually be the same. Medium (B) and wide (D) widths feature the same width of the footbed, however, the wide (D) width will have more upper material to accommodate a wider and/or taller foot.

I need shoes for the treadmill just walking?

Hi Aimee! Our gear, including the Glycerin GTS 20, is designed with the run in mind, but they can work great for many activities, especially walking on the treadmill! When used for their intended purpose, performance running shoes have an expected lifespan of about 300-500 miles with regular use. When used as a daily walking shoe rather than specifically for running, the consistent sustained pressure to the mesh and cushioning components can cause the materials to degrade quicker. We recommend regular rotation of a few pairs of good shoes to ensure the highest level of performance.

Is Glycerin GTS or Ariel better for fallen arches and wide feet?

Hi Rehana! Both the Glycerin GTS 20 and Ariel '20 can be great options for fallen arches and wide feet. The Ariel '20 may have a little more width and volume, and as such may accommodate fallen arches better. Is shoe best for severe supination? Or is the ghost a better option?

Hi Stacy! The Glycerin GTS 20 features our innovative GuideRails® technology, which supports your body in its natural motion path while keeping excess movement in check. This is helpful for overpronators. We do not recommend models with our GuideRails® technology for supinators. Neutral models such as the Ghost 15 will be better options for supination.

Does this shoe have a wide toe box ?

Hi Judy! The Glycerin GTS 20 will have more room in the toe box compared to the previous model, the Glycerin GTS 19, but the Glycerin GTS 20 also comes in a wide width if needed.

True to size or size up?

You will always want approx. 1/2 in. of space (a thumbs width) between the end of your big toe and the end of the shoe. We recommend sizing up your running shoes 1/2 a size from your normal size.

I LOVED Brooks 2018 Ariel. Do you have a shoe with comparable support?
