Do the Transcend 7 shoes have any retroreflective visibility features for night running?

I wear a men's size 8 wide in most shoes. What size in the Transcend 7's would I wear?

I wear the Transcend 7 and I normally wear a size 8 in most shoes, but I wear a size 9 in the Transcend. If you wear a "wide" I believe this shoe will be too narrow for you. It does not come in a wide version and is not overly generous in width.

I have been running in the Adrenaline GTS for years and want to try the Transcend for more cushioning. How is Adrenaline GTS sizing compared to Transcend sizing?

What's the meaning of "Arch Flat, Medium" ?

Hi Ed, great question! The arch detail under the specs refers to the arch type that the Transcend 7 would be great for, but not limited to only flat to medium arch foot shapes. We listed this shoe under flat to medium arch in the sense that this shoe has a lot of surface area within the shoe, which suits runners and walkers with flat feet because flat feet tend to expand the most compared to other foot shapes and having enough room in the shoe to accommodate that.

How is the durability on the transcend 7? I have the ghost 12s and they were a great running shoe, however they started to fray out and get holes in them.

If you are ordering a men's size, order 1.5 sizes smaller than your usual women's size. For women's footwear, B is the standard/medium/normal width. 2A is narrow, D is wide, and 2E is extra wide. For men's footwear, D is standard/medium/normal, B is narrow, 2E is wide, and 4E is extra wide.

How true to size do the shoes feel? Do you recommend sizing down a half size since they are meant to be more snug and general reviews indicate they fit larger to size?

I don't have big feet. I used to wear size 9. If your toe touches the tip inside, then the size is too small. So I went to 9 and a half and they fit beautifully. These and Brooks are the best shoes i've had in a long time. Very flexible no stiffness and they're breathable. Very comfortable.

how does the Transcend 7 compare to the Adrenaline GTS?

Howie, My uninformed response - based simply on my experience - is that the Transcend has more cushioning and feels roomier. I like the Adrenaline, and in the absence of the Transcend I would run it, but I value the cushioning and the Transcend gives (me) a more comfortable ride. I also like the roomier feel of the Transcend, especially at the toe box, but that’s just personal preference. I hope this helps. Good runnings.... Bill
