What is the difference between glycerin 20 and 20 stealthfit?

Both the Glycerin 20 and the Glycerin StealthFit 20 features our new nitrogen-infused DNA LOFT v3 foam. This is our super-soft cushioning optimized to be lightweight, responsive, and durable with plush comfort. We redesigned the midsole and outsole offering a widened platform for smoother, easier transitions as you’re striding through. The new StealthFit construction introduces an adaptable, closer fit with stretch and compression to move with the foot through the use of our FitKnit material - providing a seamless structure and breathability. Plus, the external lacing system means laces do not touch the foot for a distraction-free fit.

Are the glycerin stealth good for cross training like orange theory workouts?

Hi Erica! As a running company, all our shoes, including the Glycerin StealthFit 20, are designed and tested with forward motion such as running and walking in mind. Activities that involve lateral movements are not something our shoes are built for and the life expectancy of the shoe (300-500 miles) is likely to decrease. With that being said, for runners that still choose to use our shoes for more of these lateral movement activities or gym workouts, we tend to recommend a lower-profile, neutral style such as the Launch, Revel, or Levitate. We like to recommend neutral styles for these activities since additional support elements in the shoes can get in the way when used for more functional (especially lateral) movements.

Are these cushiony and very supportive for walking, have had p. fascitis arch /ankle issues? problems sometimes fasciitis

Hi Denise! The Glycerin StealthFit 20 is our softest, most cushioned model, so you will find great cushioning for walking. When it comes to plantar fasciitis, this can be tricky to solve with a single shoe as it can be quite different from person to person. Please also keep in mind that we're not doctors and any serious pain or injuries should be discussed with medical professionals. How wide is the toe box on these? I'm used to wearing the ghost. But looking to compare styles for more heel cushion.

Hi Amy! The Glycerin StealthFit 20 features a wide box similar in width/room to the Ghost 15. At present, feedback on the Glycerin StealthFit 20 is that the toe box is about average width.

Are these shoes machine washable?

Hi Sarah! We recommend avoiding washing machines and (especially) dryers, but you can hand wash your shoes. Here are some tips as well as a link to an article that goes in greater depth: 1. Brush the bottom of your shoes to remove as much mud and dirt as possible. 2. Remove the shoelaces. 3. Gently use a damp cloth or brush to clean the uppers. 4. Rinse with warm water. 5. Remove the insoles and clean and dry them separately. 6. Stuff your shoes with newspaper. This helps them maintain shape and decreases drying time. Is the style OK for wide feet?

Hi Holly! The Glycerin StealthFit 20 introduces an adaptable, closer fit with stretch and compression to move with the foot. If you usually wear a wide width, we recommend sticking with the classic fit. However, if you usually wear a medium width, the StealthFit can be an option!

How does the Glycerine Stealth Fit compare to the Glycerin GT20 for cushion and stability?

Hi Stacey! There are four versions of the Glycerin 20, as there is a choice between Classic and StealthFit and a choice between Neutral or GTS. They will all have the same amount of cushioning. The Classic and StealthFit versions will refer to how the upper material fits. The StealthFit will have more of a socklike feel with less adjustability in the lacing, while the Classic is more of that traditional athletic shoe fit. Neutral and GTS refer to the support in the shoe. The GTS version has our GuideRail support system, which is intended to help support runners who overpronate (feet/ankles roll inward). We recommend the neutral model if you do not overpronate.
