Percentage of recycled content
-
This metric refers to the percentage of material by weight that has been recycled from post- or pre-consumer sources.
Number of plastic bottles
-
Our roadmap to use recycled raw materials initially focuses on post-consumer sources, such as plastic bottles.
-
With help from our suppliers, we calculate the number of plastic bottles used to make a size medium of each product.

APMA Seal of Acceptance
APMA Seal of Acceptance

The American Podiatry Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance recognizes products that promote good foot health. At Brooks, products across seven of our key franchises feature the APMA Seal of Acceptance. This Achievement highlights our leadership in biomechanical research for runners and anyone who spends extended time on their feet.
Hi Jenny! All of our styles are built on runner insights and your feedback is so important to us. Unfortunately, our ability to produce all of the colors in all of the widths is currently limited. We take our runner feedback seriously and hopefully in the near future we will be able to provide all our colors in multiple widths!
Hi Mindy! The Glycerin 20 has a midsole drop of 10mm.
I have been wearing the ghosts for years and was wondering what were the differences between the Ghosts and glycerins?
And, do they size the same? Thank you
Hi Jessica! The Glycerin 20 is our softest, most cushioned model. It features nitrogen-infused DNA LOFT v3, super soft cushioning optimized to be lightweight, responsive, and durable with plush comfort. As compared to the Ghost 15, the Glycerin 20 will run very similar in size.
Hi G A! The main difference between the two is the Glycerin GTS has GuideRails - designed for runners that experience calcaneal deviation or roll in as they walk or run, while the Glycerin 20 is designed without GuideRails for runners that have a neutral or supinated stride.
Hi Laura! While all of our shoes, including the Glycerin 20, are vegan (with the exception of the Addiction Walker 2) and latex-free, we do not consider them to be hypoallergenic due to the use of synthetic materials.
Hi Jackie! If you wear the Adrenaline GTS line, we recommend the Glycerin GTS 20 or the Glycerin StealthFit GTS 20 over the Glycerin 20 as the Glycerin GTS 20 and the Glycerin StealthFit GTS 20 have the same support but a higher cushion level than the Adrenaline GTS line.
Hi Krystal! The upper material of the Glycerin 20 is a breathable mesh, so it will allow water to soak in though it will dry quickly. We recommend checking out the Ghost 14 GTX for a waterproof road model.
Hi Virginia! Plantar fasciitis can be tricky to solve with a single shoe as it can be quite different from person to person. It is also good to keep in mind that we're not doctors and any serious pain or injuries should be discussed with medical professionals. We recommend visiting a local running shop and having your gait and feet analyzed by a Fit Expert. They'll be able to recommend options accordingly. Hi Johanna. We recommend avoiding washing machines and (especially) dryers, but you can hand wash your shoes. Here are some tips as well as a link to an article that goes in greater depth:
1. Brush the bottom of your shoes to remove as much mud and dirt as possible.
2. Remove the shoelaces.
3. Gently use a damp cloth or brush to clean the uppers.
4. Rinse with warm water.
5. Remove the insoles and clean and dry them separately.
6. Stuff your shoes with newspaper. This helps them maintain shape and decreases drying time.

Hi Aubrie! Our products are produced all over the world, including the United States,
Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, El Salvador, and Mexico. To create the best running gear in the world we partner with factories that have high levels of expertise in manufacturing quality performance gear, and who do so ethically and sustainably. The mix of product created at each facility can vary based on manufacturing needs, so we aren’t able to specify what products are made where. Each item is labeled appropriately.
