Are cascadia soles non-marking?

Hi Dean. The TrailTack Rubber outsole we use on our trail shoes, including the Cascadia 16s, is not considered non-marking. It may leave marks on certain types of floors.

Do these have good stability for pronation ?

Hi Shawn! The Cascadia 16 is not a support shoe, however, it is the most stable of all our trail shoes. When you're on the trails, your foot is landing differently each time with the varied terrain, so a true support shoe can end up overcorrecting your gait. We recommend the Cascadia 16 for those who overpronate that are looking for a great trail model.

I have Beast 20s in a size 14. How does the fit compare to the cascadia 16?

Hi Matt! The Cascadia 16 will run very similar in length compared to the Beast '20. The Beast '20 is built on a linear last, so the toe box may feel deeper and wider as compared to the Cascadia 16.

Cascadia 16 water proof or water resistant?

Hi Lynell! The Cascadia 16 is not waterproof, but we do offer the Cascadia 16 GTX, which features a waterproof GORE-TEX® material.

Is the 2022 cascadia 16 sasquatch waterproof?

Hi Doug! The Sasquatch Cascadia 16 is not waterproof, but we do have the Cascadia 16 GTX, which features a new lightweight GORE-TEX® Invisible Fit membrane to help your feet stay dry.

Cascadia is a great shoe for me. What would be the most similar shoe for fit and stability in a road style?

The Adrenaline GTS 22 will be the most similar road running shoe as far as cushion and support.

Does this have gortex?

Hi Ed! We do have a GORE-TEX® version of the Cascadia 16, which is the Cascadia 16 GTX.

Does the casadia 16 series, removable foot bed?

Is the Men's D width the same as the Women's D? Size EU40 for comparison

Hi there! The Women's Medium width is the same as the Men's Medium width. This is true for a size EU 40 in the Women's style as the Men's style.

Can you recommend a gaiter that is compatible with the cascados? I am looking for something lightweight to keep out trail debris.

Hi John! The gaiter attachments are universal that allow you to select a pair of your choice. We recommend checking out your local shop as they can help guide you to your preferred type.

Hi what will be size for 27.5cm in UK AND US SIZE?

Hi Asheesh! A shoe that is 27.5cm in length will be a UK size 8.5 and US size 9.5.

2 q’s please. When will 10.5’s in the cascadia 16 be in stock? And for a 24 hr adventure race (for the trekking parts), would you go with the cascadia or the calderas.

The Cascadia 16 and the Caldera 5 are both great options for races like this. If you prefer more stability, we recommend the Cascadia 16. This style includes a Ballistic Rock Shield in the midsole that adapts to the uneven terrain.

Will you be releasing these in a more muted color combo, something white, black, or tan?

Hi Tyler! The TrailTack rubber outsole on our Trail styles like the Cascadia 16 is great for wet surfaces. We do not test for snow, but the lugs are 5mm. Possibly, using an attachment like Yaktrax for running on ice and snow.

hello I'm looking for some Trail running shoes with good grip. I have a wide toe box area. I need a size 12.5. I have 4 road pairs / 2 mountain and 3 trial pairs. none of them is Brooks I need that many because I'm a GB Running coach & I have my own big run group. would the brooks Cascadia's 16s be any good for me.?

Hi Jason! All of our Trail styles include our TrailTack rubber outsole for added traction on the trails. The Cascadia 16 is a great option as this style has plenty of volume within the shoe and designed to take on mountainous conditions.

What is the purpose of the elastic tab on the laces? What is the purpose of the Velcro strap on the back of the shoe?

Hi Andrew! The purpose of the elastic tab on the laces is to store and keep the laces in place once they're tied. The velcro strap on the back of the shoe is for attaching a Gaiter.

When will you have more size 11 in the Mykonos blue cascadia 16? Also, how does the GTX versions make the shoe different?

Hi Vinnie! We're expecting to get more of the Cascadia 16 in the Mykonos Blue colorway here shortly. The GTX stands for GORE-TEX, which means the Cascadia 16 GTX is waterproof.

Would the rock plate help an individual with metatarsal issues?

Hi John! The rock plate in the Cascadia 16 is ideal to provide protection and promote stability from the rocks and roots. For metatarsal issues, we recommend reaching out to a medical professional or seeing a Fit Expert from your local running shop as they'll be able to analyze your feet and gait, and recommend styles accordingly.

what is the different between medium and wide, in width?

Hi Caro! There's an slight increase in width from a Medium width to a Wide width, plus more volume within the shoe.

Are cascadias good for a walking shoe on pavement or concrete ?

Hi Angie! While you can walk in the Cascadia 16 on the pavement or Concrete, the Ballistic Rock Plate may be too firm. We recommend our Road styles like the Trace, the Ghost 14, or the Glycerin 19 for more pavement or concrete surfaces.

Are they water proof? You advertised a water proof pair.

Hi Michael! While the Cascadia 16 are not waterproof, but they have drainage ports to allow the water to exit the shoe. We'll be coming out with a Cascadia 16 GTX.

Previous Cascadias (10) had NO grip on slimy wood and wet, smooth rocks. Vibram soles have more ... how do these version grip?

I need a roomy toe box and wanted to see if it would be necessary for me to get the Wide or if the “D” Medium would work?

Hi Steven! The Cascadia 16 has plenty of room in the toe box. If you typically wear a Medium width in our other styles, we recommend a Medium width in the Cascadia 16. If you currently have a style in a Medium width, but you need more room, we recommend a Wide width.

when will you have size 13 in the gold in stock again?

Need a stability trail shoe?

Hi James! With the new adaptive Ballistic Rock Shield in the Cascadia 16, this allows for increase of stability on the uneven terrain while protecting your foot from rocks and roots.

Does this shoe have the extra arch support (Guiderail) like the Adrenaline line?

Hi John! The Cascadia 16 does not have our GuideRail support system and is on of our Neutral support styles. The support in running shoes is different than the support of insoles or orthotics and our sock-liners are removable so that you can input your own insole or orthotic to achieve personalized arch support.
