APMA Seal of Acceptance
APMA Seal of Acceptance

The American Podiatry Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance recognizes products that promote good foot health. At Brooks, products across seven of our key franchises feature the APMA Seal of Acceptance. This Achievement highlights our leadership in biomechanical research for runners and anyone who spends extended time on their feet.
You have done a magnificent job!
Thank you
Both the Beast '20 and the Addiction 14 are max support shoes that prevent the pronation/overpronation. The new Beast '20 has transitioned to a more holistic support system that shifts the focus beyond just your feet to the most injury-prone part of a runner's body; the knees by offering GuideRails instead of the support post under your arch you were accustomed to. The new GuideRail system now stabilizes your run without overcorrection or uncomfortable pressure under your arch so it should feel like more cushion than ever. We still have the Addiction 14 that features the under arch roll bar that you might be more used to. We would love to connect with you and help you find your perfect pair. We ask that you reach out to our Runner Experience team and one of our representatives will gladly assist you. Runner Experience: 1-855-427-6657, weekdays 6am-5pm PST.
Yes, the Beast '20 is a max support style, we recommend our support shoes and max support shoes for runners who pronate!
I'd definitely describe it as a running shoe. It's got a heavier design to help people whose feet roll inwards during their running, but as I'm one of those people I've found it great as an everyday training running shoe. I had the previous model as well - the Beast '18s and have really liked them.
Hi Thomas! Yes, the Beast '20 is a good option for heavier men. It is a high cushion, maximum support style and it works well for runners and walkers who benefit from extra protection for their feet and knees.

Hi Heather! The Beast '20 is a great option for extra wide widths and plantar fasciitis. This is tricky to solve with a single shoe as it can be quite different from person to person. We recommend visiting a local running shop near you. They have Fit Experts that can analyze your gait and feet, and give recommendations accordingly. Check out our Store Finder tool to find a shop near you. Store Finder: https://brks.co/REx_store
I am not a runner after breaking my left ankle requiring surgery. But I tried to second guess em and bought the 20 runners for comfort. Great decision. Love them. Added happy feet inserts without removing anything from inside. the 20’s . Made it nice for walking also!
We recommend ordering Brooks running shoes 1/2 size to one size larger than what you wear in casual or dress shoes.

Hi Mike! The Beast '20 is a Max Support style with a high level of cushion. The Beast '20 has plenty of volume for a high arch type.
Thanks for your question, Brenda. Our shoes are assembled in both China and Vietnam, and components come from many areas of the world. We label each pair of shoes with the name of the country in which it is assembled.
