Lightning Round
What’s your perfect run like?
My perfect run is a steady run anywhere from 60 - 90 minutes (8 - 13 miles) on a new route or trail somewhere in the mountains. I am also a huge fan of great big loop or point-to-point run.
What keeps you motivated to train and race at a high level?
The pursuit of my best self keeps me motivated to train and race at a high level. Basking in the small wins and celebrating progress is also so important in a world where we can get caught up in instant gratification and the chase of the big moments.
What’s your go-to advice for new runners?
My go-to advice for new runners is to listen to your body as you start your running journey. No running journey is the same—it will look different for everyone, which means getting started depends on your body, motivation, and goals. It is also helpful to get your own personal assessment done to find your perfect pair of running shoes!
“I run my best when I am pouring myself into other buckets of life — my family, friends, and work. Having this balance gives me a really good perspective and makes me happy. When I’m happy and enjoying the process, I race my best… It’s as simple as that!”
