I currently have Addiction 14 in 8.5 Wide for women What is comparable?

Hi Cheryl! If you like the Addiction 14 we recommend the Addiction GTS 15 as it includes the same level of support along with a mesh upper. The Addiction Walker 2 has the same support technology as the Addiction Walker Suede but includes a full-grain leather upper compared to the suede material. If you wore 8.5 Wide in the Addiction 14 we recommend size 8.5 Wide in all of these styles.

How does a normal width compare to other widths?

How can I clean my shoes?

Hi Deborah! Here is some shoe care information for you: 1. Remove the internal liner and hand wash the shoes in warm water with mild soap. Make sure not to submerge or soak the shoes in water. We do not recommend using a washer or dryer machine for cleaning our shoes, as they can be too aggressive and cause the shoes to stretch or warp compromising the materials and performance of the shoe. 2. Stuff your shoes with newsprint (plain if you have it) and allow them to air dry.

Are these shoes waterproof?

Hi Deborah! The Addiction Walker Suede is not. Check out the Ghost 13 GTX or the Cascadia 15 GTX as they are waterproofed.

Is the insole removable for custom inserts?

You will always want approx. 1/2 in. of space (a thumbs width) between the end of your big toe and the end of the shoe. This often means sizing up your running shoes 1/2 of a size from what your normal size. Orthotics can take up additional space within the shoe depending on what it is designed for.

Do these shoes loosen or stretch any?

I had an older version of this shoe and it did not stretch. They were comfortable from the first day I wore them and became more comfortable as I wore them. Unfortunately I did not find this newer version was as comfortable. The back is a little higher and rubbed my ankle uncomfortably. I agree with another reviewer who found them on the small side. I ordered them in a 6.5M - I think if I had ordered them in wide it might have been better. They are very well made and a good looking sneaker. I am sorry they didn't work out for me this time.

Is the sole rubber or synthetic?

I believe it is synthetic based on the qualities of non slipping like rubber.

I wear a size 10.5 in the glycerin 17 running shoe and would like to purchase the addiction walking shoe. What size do you recommend?

I normally wear an 8, which, as I remember was what I tried. They seemed to have a lot of toe room for me. I did return them because they are a Lot of shoe. They felt very cumbersome, bulky and heavy for me. A very well constructed shoe!

What color is 94? Is it a purple?

Color 094 is not quite purple, we call this color Shark/Alloy/Oyster.

I’m looking for a walking shoe with great support. My lower back has been killing me and I think it’s from my Nike shoes. What is a great shoe that will help relieve my back pain? I’m a female. I walk a lot for my work.

I think the Brooks Addiction Walker provided more cushion and arch support for my feet than most top name running shoes. I like to walk and they fit well and are lightweight. I had worn Brooks running shoes before but I think the walking shoe is better for walking and standing.

How do they fit? I always have to order a half size larger?

I’ve worn the Brooks’s Addiction shoes for longer than I can remember & this pair fits just the same as the rest have. I usually wear a 7.5 or 8 in a street shoe but always wear a 8.5 for Brooks.

Are these like a rose water pink color?

No, the shoe is about 97 percent gray in color. There are very thin stripes of a neutral color on each side of the shoe. My wife absolutely loves the support and comfort that these shoes provide her.

What is the difference between the Addiction and Addiction Walker?

The Addiction Walker Suede and Addiction Walker have a different upper material. The Addiction Walker is leather whereas the Addiction Walker Suede is a napped finished leather. Both shoes offer the same comfortable cushioning and maximum support.
