Hi Brian! The heel-to-toe drop of the Addiction Walker Suede is 12mm. At this time, Brooks does not have any zero drop shoes, but we do offer the Aurora-BL, Caldera 6, and Catamount 2 at 6mm.

can you wash these shoes in the washer?

Hi Rosalie! We recommend avoiding washing machines and (especially) dryers, but you can hand wash your shoes. Here are some tips as well as a link to an article that goes in greater depth: 1. Brush the bottom of your shoes to remove as much mud and dirt as possible. 2. Remove the shoelaces. 3. Gently use a damp cloth or brush to clean the uppers. 4. Rinse with warm water. 5. Remove the insoles and clean and dry them separately. 6. Stuff your shoes with newspaper. This helps them maintain shape and decreases drying time. What is the difference between this shoe and the Beast?

Hi James! There are a few key differences between the Addiction Walker Suede and the Beast '20. The Addiction Walker Suede features a suede upper and medial support in the form of an Extended Progressive Diagonal Rollbar (PDRB). The Beast '20 features a more breathable mesh upper and our GuideRails support system. Both models are support shoes, but the support present in the Addiction Walker Suede may feel a little more aggressive. The Addiction Walker Suede is also more suitable for walking rather than running, while the Beast '20 can be used for running and walking.

The Addiction Walker is a solution style whereas the Addiction 14 is a shoe that can be a great support style for runners. The Addiction 14 features the under arch roll bar just like the Addiction Walker.

Are they slip resistant on oiley floors?

All of our shoes are rigorously tested for the intended purpose of road running including wet roads but not oily surfaces. The Addiction Walker 2 is our only slip-resistant certified shoe. Can the suede addiction walker be waterproofed?

A chemical spray will be very different compared to something like our own Gore-Tex models. A shoe made with Gore-Tex materials is made water proof through a material membrane, and that doesn’t deteriorate the way a chemical treatment does. Using a spray would make a shoe more “water resistant” instead of “water proof”. Between through holes in materials, stitched seams that aren’t built to keep out water, and a tongue that is only connected along the u-throat to the vamp, it’s too difficult to ensure water won’t get in through those areas even with a spray to confidently call the shoe “water proof”.

Does it only come in one width?

Color 083 offers medium, wide and extra wide width.

I wear a 9.5 in the Ravenna line and a 10.5 in the Beast line. Does Addiction run small like beast or bigger like Ravenna?

The Addiction will be closer in size to the Beast than the Ravenna.
