I recently purchased these shoes, after running in them for a short time (two 400s 65sec and 59sec) this is what I noticed (I'll try to remember to add more once track starts)
-Roomy toe box
-Perfect amount of cousin in the upper
-Very responsive midsole
-the traction is okay, but just like every super spike I've tried (dragonfly and cielo LD and MD) it feels a little sloppy on the corners when I turn on the gas.
-Great lockdown on my foot while running, however it feels a little unstable at slow speed.
-Super responsive, feels firmer and more aggressive than the dragonfly, novice runners beware.
-This goes with the responsiveness, the way this shoe snaps back when you bury it in the track is unmatched by any other LONG DISTANCE spike that I've used so far.
-Durability is concerning, while I know this shoe will last for dozens of races, I doubt the mini plastic spikes will last more than 3 (after my two laps most of these spikes where about half their height, and none of them are sharp anymore.
-Finally, this is not a shoe for running slow, if you are going slower than a 5:30 mile pace, or you're a lighter runner with less power I recommend a beginner track spike, trainers, or XC spikes. I do think it is a better shoe at high speeds than the dragonfly or the ceilos
Pros: locked down fit from the top of the laces up to the toe, super lightweight, extremely breathable, good mid-foot to toe transitions
Cons: heel isn’t very locked down, the little plastic spikes wore down significantly after one lap, but didn’t wear as much after that, didn’t rock you forward from heel to mid foot, and non removable pins kind of ruined it the most especially after running a whole season in them
